Which exam board should I choose? Edexcel or NCFE?
- You can choose Pearson Edexcel as an accreditation if you wish to be certified by a renowned awarding body.
- However, if you require rapid results, you can choose NCFE since it publishes results in just 7 working days, whereas Pearson Edexcel takes up to 20 working days.

- Pearson Edexcel publishes the result within 20 working days from the date the exam is submitted and the certificate is issued within 14-21 working days.
- NCFE takes 7 working days to publish the result and 10- 12 working days to issue the certificate.

Is it mandatory to do the course in order to get the qualification?
No, it is not mandatory to do the course in order to be qualified. However, it is recommended that you take the course to get properly trained and improve your confidence to sit for the official exam.
Which exam board should I choose? Edexcel or NCFE?
- You can choose Pearson Edexcel as an accreditation if you wish to be certified by a renowned awarding body.
- However, if you require rapid results, you can choose NCFE since it publishes results in just 7 working days, whereas Pearson Edexcel takes up to 20 working days.
We provide courses for both qualifications; it is entirely up to the learners to decide which qualification is most ideal for them.
I need to be functional Skills qualified very quickly. What should I do?
In such a case, you can build your skills with our extensive range of functional skills courses and attend mock tests to increase your overall confidence. Moreover, you can choose NCFE as an accreditation if you want to sit for an exam that provides results within 6 working days.
When do I book the exam? (Pearson Edexcel and NCFE)
You are required to notify us 9 working days (Pearson Edexcel) or 5 working days (NCFE) prior to the exam date that you are ready to take the test, and we will schedule an exam date that best suits your schedule.
How is the online exam monitored?
All exams conducted by Pearson Edexcel is invigilated through a Remote Invigilation service. In the case of NCFE, remote invigilation uses the learner’s webcam, screen share, and mobile device to monitor them.
How long does it take to receive the result and certificate? (Pearson Edexcel and NCFE)
- Pearson Edexcel publishes the result within 20 working days from the date the exam is submitted and the certificate is issued within 14-21 working days.
- NCFE takes 7 working days to publish the result and 10- 12 working days to issue the certificate.
Is the curriculum the same for Pearson Edexcel and NCFE?
The curriculum for Pearson Edexcel and NCFE is the same. We have courses available for both qualifications; you can select the one that best satisfies your requirements.
What if I fail the exam?
You can retake the exam with an additional retake fee. If you don’t have the necessary knowledge, skills, or confidence to sit for the exam, you can take our course again and prepare yourself to ace it.

- NCFE: 30% discounted price from regular exam booking price

No, you are required to pay for the entire exam fee before sitting for the exam.
Can I sit for the ICT exam online?
If you wish to take an official exam from the comfort of your home while being remotely supervised, you are required to choose NCFE as an accreditation.
