  • SCDHEC recommends waiting until they reach an internal temperature of 165° Fahrenheit.

    • Lukewarm Water: Fill a bowl with lukewarm water and put the sausages. The temperature of lukewarm water is usually around 110 °F (43 °C), and any temperature within 5°F (−15 °C) or 110 °F (43 °C) should be okay. Use a thermometer to check the intensity of the heat.
    • Normal Dripping water: Get a bowl and tap the normal water. Remove the packet and place them. Times depend on the number of products; you need 50 minutes to defrost 12 sausages. For more, you need more time to thaw.
